This was one of my WORST art years ever. I got complacent and didn't practice art hardly ever. I just half-assed sketches, threw on some purple/brown skintone, and told people it was awesome. I'm ashamed XD I only worked hard on a few pieces this year (the realism portraits XD) everything else was CRAP.

yup XD man that was ages ago <3 those were my first ever realism pieces but I didn't like them much - it was less painting because I knew where the colors/shadows went, and more painting what I saw -__- i didn't learn anything

You did that? I always remember myself analyzing the curves according to the shades in pictures and trying to add whatever I could into sketches I kept aside. Then again, when I finally opened up to realistic style I was quite mature as an artist already...
