I did almost no art this year, but I learned a very important lesson. I was soooo proud of that elf picture there in the middle - I even got my first DD! But I'd lost the information on who owned the reference picture I was working with - and posted it anyway. Keep in mind that the description clearly stated "if you know who created the original photo, please let me know so I can post proper credit!" Eventually the photographer came forward (with a harassing note) and I posted the proper credit, but it was too late, an hour later, my Daily Deviation was stripped. Pissed, I asked them to close my account (you couldnt do it manually those days, you had to ask them to ban your account), and I left DeviantArt. Because of that incident, I now make sure that I save all references I use with the username of the owner attached so that I know who to credit - I won't be making that mistake again! I still love that picture though T_T wish I could post it as more than a thumbnail.

That was kinda rude, to immediatly put the whole picture down because of problems with the reference.
I think some artists are way too touchy about that, lurking around till they found an abuser and then go harass them about it...
Okay, some deviants post art without reference, claiming is at their own. That's completely not done.
But when you made an own drawing, based on another artwork, then it's better to just say politely first, that there should be a reference post in the artist comments.

At least I think so.

Anyways, apart from that~
I really enjoy looking through your years of art! It's so nice to see how much you've grown over the years, but also to see how many themes and how many styles you tried out in your years as artist :heart:
