Omgosh. Mio did art! Lol It feels weird posting after so long. Anyways, I wanted to practice my painting since I've been sort of out of circuit for the last few months - I also really wanted a portrait of Khet, the new main character from my short-prologue-long-story (posted earlier today) So here she is. Undetermined age.. she's somewhere between 7 and 13 when the story begins.

This is just a quick painting, no initial sketch was done - took about an hour to complete. This is the original painted size.

so if I gave you a detailed list of a character from a story, could you create their picture?

it can be done. It's easier if there are photo references but as long as there's a good description of their personality and basic appearance, I can usually draw something close. There's always a bit of back-and-forth checking with a commissioner on what may need to be changed/improved upon before I finalize a drawing.

I'm a writer, so I try to capture all the details in my writing. I wish I could draw, I tried, but I need practice. Alas, so does my writing.
