Within Abandon - Ch. 12Within Abandon - Ch. 12: Abandoned

The city seemed to be holding it's breath—biding its time. The wind rustled the trees along the side of the road, and small birds called out as the sun began to sink in the sky. A dog barked far off in the distance, but there was no sign of the roaches. Wherever they were, they were laying low. I only wished I knew why.

It didn't sit well with me that they'd gone so far underground. There had to be a reason they'd left us with so few guards–a reason they were hiding. They had already managed to cut us off from most of our resources; it would have been easy to strike. Instead, they held back.

I'm submitting this in hopes someone else may glean useful information. :3

Disclaimer: I don't draw animals... almost ever. I also don't do pencil work XD So this was a bit of a challenge (I stuck to the basics and looked up some references to make sure the face was correct :3) I'm of no help at all *flail*

What is a Redline?: Redlines are when an artist takes another artist's artwork and draws over it to help point out mistakes and useful information for the sole purpose of helping the other artist learn. It's a teaching mechanism and is not meant in any derogatory way - but instead, as honest, helpful feedback. As part of a new weekly tradition, I am offering to do Redlines free of charge, no credit required for any artist that asks me to, every Saturday and Sunday. Think of it as a personal mini-tutorial
