Mio's Birthday Bash Twins Contest! (1 hour left!)

That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's almost my Birthday! I'll be 28 on the 25th of August, along with my identical twin sister, JamieDavenport ! To celebrate our birthday, and yet another awesome year of art, I'm holding a contest.

EVEN NEWER UPDATE XD HURRY HURRY HURRY! 1 hour left!

NEWER UPDATE I'm tacking on an extension! I had several people express a concern that they didn't have enough time to finish their entries (but they were close) and seeing as I gave less than 2 weeks to get entries done in the first place, I'm hereby extending the deadline to SEPTEMBER 1st. That gives you guys 1 more week to finish up what you're working on (or submit a second entry) so get to it! There will be no more extensions after this. :3 No excuses. GOODLUCK! (and thank you all for the lovely birthday wishes :3 )

UPDATE (I'm posting this a little early, it's 9:30pm MST August 24th) There's ONE DAY LEFT to this contest, get your entries in as soon as possible! You have until midnight at the end of August 25th (MST). I will be checking times and dates on notes/comments left the night of August 25th to make sure you make the cut-off :3  Let me know if anyone's close to finishing their entry but may not make the August 25th deadline, I've had at least two people express concern, and if there are enough people still attempting to enter who may not make the deadline I will consider an extension! So speak up! Also, check out the prizes! We've had a lot of late entries to the prize listings over the last few days - there's a lot of free commissions on there :3 If you're still debating on entering, get those sketches in! It won't hurt you to enter, and if you win, YAY lots of prizes! Right? <3

Theme & Rules

Twins! (of course) Only Humanoid  digital or traditional art allowed.  What this means:

It must be hand drawn/painted in traditional or digital medium. No photos, photo manipulations, tracings, writings, sculptures or other crafts.. etc. When in doubt, ask me!
No sexually explicit content. I don't mind gore, (I'm a big horror fan), but I don't want to see any hardcore twincest or similar fetish pictures. It really grosses me out.
Characters portrayed have to be humanoid (meaning at least partially human - demons, angels, fairies, mermaids, cat girls.. all acceptable as long as it has a humanoid-face .. i'm not a big fan of animal-faced anthros).
The twins in question can look a like or not look alike as long as you stick to the theme of twins, and there's some indication that they are in one way or another, related in this manner. Be creative! You won't be winning many points if you just take the same figure and mirror it.
You may enter as many times as you want before the deadline, but can only win with ONE entry. (No one's going to be nabbing all three prizes!)
All entries must be NEW (nothing already in your gallery) uploaded on or after today's date (August 04, 2011).
If I catch you cheating in any manner, you will be immediately disqualified. No Art Theft. No reposting of old work.
You MAY do collaborations, but you will have to decide among yourselves how the prizes will be split if you win.
THE DEADLINE:All entries must be in before the end of August 25th (MST - That's mountain standard time, where I live!). Judging will commence after this date, and will continue until a winner is decided (It probably won't take more than a day), at which point the winners will be announced. Please note me links to your entries, or leave them in a comment on this journal - anywhere else and they'll be completely ignored.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE A PRIZE: send me a note with your offer of a prize, and your name will be added to the contest information as a contributor. All donators will get a feature at the end of the contest, and a raffle will be held between the contributors for a free fully painted portrait commission :3
WHAT WILL ENTRIES BE JUDGED ON?: anatomy, creativity, color, how "finished" it looks, overall appeal--my personal opinion! You can enter sketches, fully painted pieces - whatever you'd like, but keep in mind that unless it's really spectacular, a sketch isn't going to get you as much points in my good book as  if it were fully painted. I want to see people put effort into this :3
